My girls ask quite often for prayers, whether for themselves or someone else and I always ask to pray with them, right then. I am thankful that they know where our help comes from. When they or anyone update me on a prayer request I say, to them, "let's send up praises" or "Thank You, Jesus" for the answered prayer or having a better way. And thank You for hearing us! I want them to know we are grateful that we can go to God and acknowledge Him answering us. He is always worthy of praise, whether our prayer was answered today or not.

Even Jesus thanked God for hearing His prayer. John 11: 41-42, "Then Jesus looked up and said, 'Father, I thank you that you have heard me. When I am asked to pray I ask God to please make it happen in the most impossible way so that the person knows it couldn't be anyone but Him! He will get all the glory! I want Ephesians 3: 20 to come alive for them. "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us..."
