Blessings And Blossoms

Since Momma moved out of her house I have tried to go by and pick daisies to make us flower pots. The daisies make her smile and think of home. Today when I went by the deadheads had not been picked off and the group didn't look as pretty as usual. So I cut them all off. I could hear Momma say, "the more you cut them the more they will bloom."
Life is much the same way. The more we are pruned the more we can blossom. The Bible references changes and beginnings in our lives as seasons. Seasons are God's perfect timing in delivering us through all the changes He makes in our lives. These seasons can bring many blessings from our obedience through those changes even when we did not want or understand them. Galatians 6: 9, "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. (ESV) No matter how long and painful these trials are, we are not to give up because there will be a new season ahead, a season of new beginnings!
Ecclesiastes 3: 1, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…”
We bring glory to God when we begin to change and start a new season, trusting Him with each unpredictable step. No matter how hard we know that as long as we trust Him we will grow. He has the best plans for us and He will use this season in a mighty way if we let Him. Thank Him for this place we are in knowing that He wastes nothing and He will bring many blessings from it. Hard times are often blessings in disguise.
