I Choose To Praise

It is easy to praise when all is going well and I can still praise when things are getting tough but it is harder when you feel like your world is falling apart. This is when I have to start praising God whether I feel like praising or not. When I praise God I feel closer to Him. The closer I feel to Him, the more I begin to trust Him. By praising Him, I keep my focus on the Problem Solver instead of the problem.

I thank God for the hard times because I know I am growing in Him. I am not always thanking Him for a particular circumstance but I can still proclaim who He is! He is holy, loving, forgiving, faithful. Praise isn't about how we feel, it is about who God is and the fact that He is worthy of praise!

Praise is not about what we feel–because sometimes we don’t feel like praising. We have to choose to praise. Are you going through a tough time? Praise God for who He is, what He has done, what He is doing and and what He is going to do! Watch your focus change!
