Your Job Does Not Determine Your Worth

Your job, home, clothes, car, club membership, boat, Alma mater, neighborhood nor your friends determine your value! Being jealous of others is exhausting and you will not be able to keep up with everyone! When we are trying to always impress someone we are not free!

God puts gifts in other people for us to enjoy, not be jealous of. It took me years to figure out my gifts and I have watched them change as God has stretched and challenged me! We are one body with many members. 1 Corinthians 12, 27: "There is one body, but it has many parts. ...You are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it." God needs each of us.

God's Word tells us that no matter how worthless we might feel, we are worthy! 1 John 3: 1, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” We are His children and He is the One, true authority on our self-worth! He loved us and thought we were so valuable that He gave His own life up for us by dying on a cross so we can be with Him for all eternity! When we believe that He died for us, we know our self worth is found in Jesus! That is WHO and WHOSE we are! Knowing our worth in God will change our life!

Be yourself because everyone else is already taken!
