You Can't Google Wisdom

It doesn't matter how book smart you are, without wisdom. Wisdom comes from the Lord. You can't google wisdom! Proverbs 2: 6-7, "All wisdom comes from the Lord, and so do common sense and understanding. God gives helpful advice to everyone who obeys him and protects all of those who live as they should."
In this noisy world it is hard to know what is right anymore. There are passionate people on all sides. All of the loud noise leads to confusion. If we want more wisdom, just ask for it. 1 Kings 3: 5, 7, 9-12, "At Gideon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, 'Ask for whatever you want me to give you....“Now, Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties" The Lord said, "I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be."
We could learn so much from Solomon! He knew that he needed help to be a good king. He could have asked God for anything but he asked for wisdom. Wow. That steps on my toes! He also asked God for understanding in knowing right and wrong. God blessed Solomon and he was a successful and prosperous king. James 3: 17, "But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."
Wisdom is listening to Jesus and doing it. We listen to Him through reading His Word. Jesus tells us to build our house on the rock or a strong foundation. That is His Word. Matthew 7: 24, "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." When we follow Jesus, He leads us toward wisdom. "Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her." Proverbs 3: 13-15
