You Are Blessed

I do not say I am lucky because I don't believe in luck, I believe I am blessed. I love the word "blessed, blessings and bless! I think blessings encompasses so many things! Blessings are God's favor and protection. What else could we want? You do not have to be wealthy or in good health to feel blessed! You just need to know where all good things come from!

Some things we do not recognize as blessings until later. I love Laura Story's song, "Blessings", "What if trials of this life are your mercies in disguise?" I don't think everything happens by random chance. I read, "being lucky is the idea that by chance, something in the universe made a situation go in your favor. Being blessed is attributing a given situation to the goodness of God or another person." If you do not think things happen by chance then you should use "blessings". James 1: 17, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

If you wonder if you are blessed, read Luke, Chapter six:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn,    for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek,    for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,    for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful,    for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart,    for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers,    for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessings!
