When You Think There Is No Way...

It has taken a long time and a lot of saying, "I trust You, Jesus" but I know when I think there is no way, if it is God's will, He will provide. He always has and always will. When I went whale watching I was reminded of Jonah and the whale. To almost be able to touch a whale the size of a bus was amazing. Then I thought of being swallowed by one!
God told Jonah to go to Ninevah to witness but Jonah didn't want to. He ran from God by getting on a ship heading the opposite direction. A big storm came and Jonah believed it was because he didn't obey God so he told the sailors to throw him overboard. Immediately the storm stopped and the sea was calm. They saw a big fish swallow Jonah. God sent this fish so Jonah wouldn't drown. Jonah apologized to God for not listening and he sat in the belly of the whale for three days. Then he was spit out onto dry land! God told him, again, to go to Ninevah and he did! And the people of Ninevah began obeying God.
I have run from God much of my life and He caught me but my story is not nearly as dramatic! We can all learn a lesson from Jonah. When it comes to doing what God wants us to do, we might run, but we cannot hide from God! He will ask us to do things that are challenging, we don't like to do and it may seem impossible. I begin telling Him why I can't do it. I have been known to make deals - how about I do this instead?! We do not see the big picture and have no idea how things are going to happen but He doesn't ask us to do that. He just asks us to be obedient. We have to remember Who God is and what He has done! If you keep saying, "I trust You, God," you begin to believe it! We just have to be obedient and He will do the rest.
"Are you frustrated doing God's job? Take the pressure off and let Him do it!"
