What Is God Teaching Me

"Look around you for the signs of God’s love, and you will more readily bow to Him as King over your life. Be captivated by the sign of His joy in the sincere smile of a stranger. Experience the sign of His compassion in the caring prayers of your community. Luxuriate in His lavish love by the signs of His generous provision and His peaceful presence. Jesus shows up where His daily signs are evident and acknowledged with gratitude, giving Him glory. Gratitude to God prevents arguments with God. No need to test the Lord by needing a manufactured sign, just look around." Wisdom Hunters

I like this but I do ask God for signs. I also know that when I am in creation I feel Him all over it. I know He is with me. I see His creation as miraculous. I see His grace as miraculous, every day, through eyes of faith! Sometimes when things are tough and we seem to not be getting a break it would be easy to have a pity party. BUT, there are blessings all around but it is up to us to look for them. "You gotta look for the good in the bad. The happy in your sad. The gain in your pain and what makes you grateful not hateful!"

Even if we suffer today, we must bear everything with joy, knowing that God is in control. Let's not look at our circumstance but let's look to the things that are not seen, this will make our problems seem lighter and temporary, knowing the eternal glory far outweighs our troubles. 2 Corinthians 4: 17-18, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

One day I was wondering why I had to keep waiting on some specific things to happen. And why was I having to keep going through things that are so hard. Then I saw this - I told you I like signs. "If you saw the size of the blessing coming, you would understand the magnitude of the battle you are fighting." Made sense to me! God just isn't ready to reveal certain blessings to me yet. Like our Easter message, "it's Friday now but Sunday's coming!"
