Victory In Jesus

Last year I attended a prayer workshop and was so blessed by it that I knew I was going to the Holy Spirit workshop during this year's revival. Again, I was so blessed by it! I have to admit, I was tired - it had been a busy week but revival is like exercise. It may be hard to get there but I am always so glad I did! And it is one week a year!! I was blessed beyond measure by the things I learned from Dr. Madeline's workshop! We learned how the Holy Spirit leads us into intimacy with God. We learned how to get revelation to us through the Father. And we learned how we move in that power.

When we said yes to Jesus, our inheritance was ready and available. The Holy Spirit has been stirring our hearts. It is not something that we need to be waiting to happen, it is already in us waiting to be unleashed! We have a stubbornness in us that stifles the Holy Spirit some time. I believe mine is fear. We need to pray for God to soften our hearts in humility. We need to surrender to God. Often times, in those surrender moments come our biggest breakthroughs!

We have diminished what is possible from God. Satan loves this. He wants to demistify God. We have also laid down the tools we have to be able to fight the enemy. Hebrews 10: 19-23, “Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” The “Most Holy Place” is the throne of God. We are invited to come boldly into God’s presence! God can be trusted to keep His promise that we are able to share, listen and receive. God wants a date with us - just the two of us.

Dr. Madeline spoke a while about praising God. She reminded us that when we praise we quit thinking of ourselves for a moment! She said it is ok to raise your hands! Even when you are praising in public - it is still just you and Jesus! Worship is just you and Him! Be enthusiastic about Jesus if you want. God wants our individual praise so it does not matter how you praise. Just so we are authentic!

God created us to be victors! He has given us weapons and an army with the best line to intel. It is our birthright to be able to see warnings and insight to the enemy. You have a direct line for traps or breakthroughs. We can pray in the offense and defense. We don’t have to just hold our fort against the enemy but we can gain Kingdom ground! God wants freedom for us. He wants liberation, He wants to give insight to give us ways to break down the strongholds in our lives. Isaiah 55: 6, “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” He wants to be found. He wants us to call on Him. Psalm 145: 18, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” He wants to equip, comfort and guide us. He wants us to be able to discern His voice. John 10: 27-28, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.”

God can see far beyond what we can ever see. Proverbs 3: 5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” We are so easily blinded by our own ignorance. There is someone who can lead us. God knows the exact bullet (Scripture) to hit that bulls eye! God shows us the problem. We need ask what Scripture we should claim. He gives specific strategy. We don’t have to understand. We just have to trust. By doing this we can break strongholds in our family. He can give us strategic intercession that breaks the schemes of the enemy.

In Matthew 22: 29, the Sadducee's were trying to trap Jesus in a question. “Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” Jesus’ response was that they did not know the Scripture. They did know the words in Scripture but they did not know them in their heart.

God wants to stretch us so we acknowledge that He is bigger than us! The teaching of the Holy Spirit from the well will never run dry!
