Victim or victor - it's totally up to you. A victim is "a person harmed, injured, or killed as a result of a crime, accident, or other event or action." A victor is "a person who defeats an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition." I would rather be a victor but sometimes it is easier said than done. We are going to have trials. John 16: 33, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble..." According to Proverbs 23: 7, the answer depends on your mindset because the Proverbs 23: 7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..."
A victim mentality comes from having a discouraged, sorrowful, and defeated perspective. A victorious mentality comes from thinking in line with God's Word. John 16: 33 continues, "But take heart! I have overcome the world." If you believe God is for you and no one can prevail against you, victory will begin manifesting. Romans 8:31, "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" A victor can say, "Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place." Corinthians 2:14
"The victim mindset dilutes the human potential. By not accepting personal responsibility for our circumstances, we greatly reduce our power to change them."
