Trusting God

One of my favorite verses is Romans 8: 28, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." This is His promise to us. Sometimes it is so hard to see how things can work out for our benefit when we see the situation as bad. But we cannot see the whole picture like God can! It comes back to trust! Isaiah 55: 9, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts." He see's the future. He also knows what suffering we do on earth is miniscule compared to eternity. He does not waste our pain, our suffering, our losses, or our trials. Things will not always make sense.

I bought a card recently that read, "What ultimately matters is not the size of our mountains, but the strength of our mountain mover." Luke 18: 27, "But He said, 'The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.'” Sometimes life is out of our control but that does not mean they are out of God's control! God wants us to trust Him, no matter the situation. Proverbs 33: 5, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;"

Don't forget He wants what is best for us! Jeremiah 29: 11, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" God isn't asking us to figure things out. He is asking us to trust that He already has things figured out! We can take comfort in this.
