Trust That I Am God 3/5

This week I am working on my spiritual health which begins with me being still. The following days I will work on knowing, trusting and believing that God IS God! By Friday I believe He will have refreshed my soul! Thankfully, last November, God chose my family's vacation date for this week. I will have seven days at a beach in which I intend to soak up the Son!

The definition of trust is "firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something." We need to trust Psalm 46: 10, "Be still and know that I am God." Verse 1 and 2, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea." This shows us we can trust God in the worst of times. We can trust His protection when we are in trouble!

We want to trust God's Word, His strength and His ability. We are not the first or the last people that struggled with trusting God. The Bible says that God always keeps His promises, that He loves us and wants good for us. How do we learn to trust Him? How do we learn to trust people? Think of those in your life that you trust enough to keep your child or share a secret with. Why do we trust them? We know them personally. We believe them when they say they are going to do something - they are reliable. You know they have our back and we can depend on them.

Trust that He is God!
