Treasured Gifts

As we reflect on Christmas and think of all of the gifts we gave and we received, I hope we remember the most important gift we have received. I read we have 60,000 thoughts a day and mostly negative thoughts. Maybe we all need to think about all of the treasured gifts we have been given! Let us remember Luke 2: 10-11, "Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." Let's remember the gifts we so often overlook. God's gifts to us. Gifts that we should celebrate!

Thank You, Lord, for a future filled with hope because we know our future rests in Your hands. For peace of mind when I keep my eyes on You. For the peace that passes all understanding! For joy beyond all my circumstances. For a place to live, clothing, food, and all the good things that we are provided daily.

Thank You, Lord, for opening our eyes to the beauty of Your creation! For sunny days, majestic sunsets, twinkling stars, cool rain, and cool breezes. What a wonderful world You have created.

Thank You, Lord, for family and friends. Thank You for hose people You have put into my life who know my faults yet still love me. Thank You for their love and support. Thank You for their encouragement when You nudge them to reach out. Thank You for Your nudges so I know when to reach out or pray for someone.

Thank You, Lord, for the hard times that make us grow. Thank You for being with me in life's trials, drawing me closer to Yourself. It is in those times that I learn to trust you and I thank You for that!

I am forever grateful that I do not have to do life without you, God! Thank You for coming to this earth, to live, to love, to die, to live again. Thank You for the gift of salvation that is so freely given! Thank You for promising that You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And through receiving You, I may know You and the Holy Spirit will live in my Heart. And one day I will spend all eternity in Your House! Thank You, Lord, for all of Your gifts to me!

2 Corinthians 9: 15, "Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift."
