Tiring & Inspiring

I took time away from writing my blog to soak in God's presence and to once again, experience His peace that surpasses all understanding! I know you can do without my blog but I made that commitment to God so I take it very seriously. Sometimes doing good for God can be tiring and inspiring! God doesn’t ask us to wear ourselves out, leaving nothing for our spouses, families, or Him.

My ministry work is important so it is easy to justify my busyness. But this was numbing my soul for Jesus and I needed to keep myself spiritually healthy to do anything for Jesus. Proverbs 4: 23, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Some versions say, "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life." My spring was drying up. If my heart gets hard then my patience, kindness, compassion and gentleness dry up.

Guarding our heart isn't one more thing to do. It is the thing that leads to everything getting better. Jesus gave us a gift in Matthew 11: 28, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." God told us in this life we will have trials. But He also told us that he will give us peace in the storm.

Thank you for all of your messages. I felt the prayers.
