Family vacations were a priority to my parents and Mike and I carry on that tradition. The night before I could hardly sleep knowing we were going on family vacay. I was excited for several reasons but mainly to spend quality time with my family. I am blessed that both of my girls live here. We are close and get together each week but seven days together, away, is different. I love all of us cooking together, gathering around the table to eat or play games, enjoying sightseeing and creation. This time allows us to learn more about each other, bond and make memories. Making each other a priority makes deeper relationships.
I am reminded how our heavenly Father feels when we spend time with HIm. When we make Him our priority and set aside time to deepen our relationship. Matthew 6: 33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We need to align our priorities with God’s will and purpose for our lives. To do this we have to have faith and trust in God.
When we seek His kingdom and righteousness first, He will provide for all our needs. He will
always be faithful to provide all we need according to His purposes. Solomon sought God’s kingdom and righteousness, first, and God honored him. When we make God our priority, we will have a closer relationship with Him, growing in our faith and trust and we will see Him working in our lives!
