A 5 year old said, "I know Jesus lives in my heart cause I can feel him walking around in there." She is actually right, because she was feeling her heartbeat. In the beating of our heart is a sign of God living in us.

How often do we forget that God, the Holy Spirit, is right there in our heart? More than I remember! John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Sometimes when we have suffered great pain in our soul our hearts can become hard. Sometimes we may even be unwilling or able to love. Ezekiel 11: 19, "I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh." God knew that we may become hard-hearted and already has a plan to fix it! It is almost humanly impossible to make our heart soft again but the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit can make our hearts tender again! He can restore every place of pain. He also reminds us that God will never leave us. Hebrews 13: 5, "God has said, 'Never

will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'"

When our hearts are hard we can sin without feeling bad. Since sin separates us from God, the Holy Spirit can draw us to God by making us sensitive to our sin so we can repent and return to God. Ask the Holy Spirit to remove the hard places in your heart.
