"I’m not fat. God gave me airbags cause I’m precious!" I love this! Some people just make me laugh and have fun with. I love to be around positive people so the flip side of that is I do not like to be around negative people. Being around negative people brings me down so I find myself avoiding them. My dad was one of the most positive people I know. I remember when I felt bad about the hard earned money I had wasted partying in college. One day I told my dad I felt really bad about that. He didn't miss a beat and told me that it wasn't a waste - he knew I had learned a lot of life lessons! I thought of this when I saw this quote on social media. "If your thighs touch, you're just one step closer to being a mermaid!" I love when people look for the silver lining in the dark clouds.
God does not want us to be negative, in fact, He wants us to be joyful. Psalm 118:24, "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!” It doesn't mean everything will go our way but it means we can choose to be glad in it. He tells us, again, in Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, rejoice!” God wants us to be joyful and positive about life. He even tells us what to think. Philippians 4: 8, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

When a negative thought enters our mind, we must replace it with something positive. I like to ask God to take that thought from me because I know it is not from Him. Another thing I do is say out loud, "I am who You say I am!" We can also quote Scripture. This is a spiritual battle you are fighting and when we get rid of the negative our outlook on life will change. You get to choose if you are going to be positive or negative.
