We called Dad the eternal optimist. He always saw the good in things. I could give you so many examples but I will share the one that still makes me laugh. I have always loved to have fun! In college I had fun! A lot of fun! My parents were surprised when my grades came. The teacher came out in Mom but DaD said I was learning about life. Years later I apologized for wasting money and Dad told me I didn't waste it that I learned valuable life lessons! Through the years I saw Dad always find the good in the hard times.

The eternal optimist is "a person who stays positive no matter what happens to him/her." For those of us who have given our lives to Jesus we should be optimist - eternal optimist! Even our most painful experiences is temporary. Our pain may remain with us our earthly life but it will be relieved in the next! Christ promised no more death or pain. He will wipe away all our tears! Revelation 21: 4, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Focusing on Heaven doesn't eliminate pain but it is a pain reliever and puts things in perspective.

Isaiah 65; 18, "Be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create.” As long as we live there will always be something to be grateful for. There will be something In creation to bring us joy! God continues to bring us new things to make us glad. Psalm 118: 24, "The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad." Don't put your hope in favorable circumstances which do not last. Put your hope in Jesus and His promises! We will live joyfully ever after! For all eternity!

"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty."
