The Dream Team

I shared that I felt like I was jumping out of a plane without a parachute when I thought about starting Hope in Him. But that is what faith is. God showed me before you jump, you have a trusted team that knows what to do to prepare you. Each person has a job to make for a safe landing! Thanks be to God and His team, Saturday, our first event, went off without a hitch!

The Kingdom of God is all about team – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Genesis we see teamwork, the Trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, are working together at creation. Each had a defined part to perform in the creation of the world. 1 Corinthians 12: 14, "Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many." The body of Christ are a team, not supported by one person but by many and working in unity makes us stronger! We should emulate Jesus when we work together. We need God and each other because no one has all the skills, gifts, wisdom, etc. We are told to use the gifts we receive to serve one another. Ephesians 4: 16, "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."

Ecclesiastes 4: 9, "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor." When people work together, they can double their strength and get much more done. Teamwork takes incredible power. When a task involves people it can get messy. Not everyone can be the chief and often times there are different ways to do things. Teamwork requires trust in each other. Teamwork means celebrating others and not getting the credit yourself. Teamwork gets more accomplished and it pleases God when His children work together. We is always greater than me, but it involves sacrifice.
