The Devil Made Them Do It

A lady's neighbor made fun of her for always talking to the Lord. She would go outside and say, “Lord, I need groceries.” The neighbor, thinking it was funny, went and bought groceries and put them on her front porch. The lady came out, saw the groceries and said, “thank you, Lord for my groceries!” The neighbor could not stop laughing. He said, that wasn’t the Lord! I put those groceries there! The lady threw her arms up in the air and said, “thank You, Lord, that you not only brought the groceries but you made the devil pay for them!”

God wastes nothing! What the enemy intended for evil, God used for good. Romans 8: 28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." God does not cause the evil in this world. Sometimes He protects us from the evil attacks and sometimes He lets us go through dark seasons. He knows what is best for us - in the grand scheme of things. He is faithful and brings good from difficult seasons.

God can turn some of these trials around for good. He is faithful to His Word and we know He wants what is best for us. Jeremiah 29: 11, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'", When we step out of the darkness, it will be so bright! He will bring so many blessings from the hard times that will enrich His Kingdom! He wastes nothing - always letting us grow in Him!

We can trust that God will be with us! Deuteronomy 31: 8, "...he will never leave you nor forsake you..." God will not withhold good from us. Psalm 84: 11, "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." Thank Him today for what hard times you are going through. Reflect back on how He brought good from former difficult situations. Try to trust Him through the hard times!
