Steals and Deals

You have probably heard the terms: Black Friday and Cyber Monday! According to Google, Cyber Monday is "the Monday following Thanksgiving, promoted by online retailers as a day for exceptional bargains." Black Friday is "the day after Thanksgiving, regarded as the first day of the traditional Christmas shopping season, on which retailers offer special reduced prices." You are probably tired of hearing about both! Happy Cyber Monday!

We do love deals! If we didn't you would not continue to see these deals year after year! We want the best that we can afford! The research from Hawk Incentives "found that 40 percent of the surveyed consumers said they 'feel smart' when they can find the best deals."

According to the Huffpost, Danny Wong wrote, "In 1887, Coca-Cola distributed the first-ever coupon. Little did the company realize how important the concept would be in shaping the future of commerce.

With the Coca-Cola voucher, recipients could redeem one free glass of Coke at any dispensary. Coke, which was introduced a year earlier. Between 1894 and 1913, an estimated one-in-nine Americans had received a free Coca-Cola, for a total of 8,500,000 free drinks. By 1895, Coca-Cola was being served in every state. Coke had solidified its brand as a household name. Today, Coke is the world’s best-selling carbonated beverage thanks to more than a century of clever marketing strategies including coupons, deals and markdowns."

Here is the best deal out there! It is free for the taking! Jesus Christ wants to be your personal Lord and Savior. All you have to do is receive the gift. We cannot buy it. We cannot earn it by good works. And it is not a cheap gift. It is free but it cost God the life of His Son. We can come to Christ just as we are! It does not matter what your past includes!

A gift is something bestowed freely. Ephesians 2: 8, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God..." John 3: 16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Acts 16: 31, "They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

This is the gift that keeps on giving. It will affect every aspect of your life! You have it with you always! And the best warranty is usually a "lifetime" warranty but this one has an extended warranty! It is good in this life and the next! For all eternity!

God is waiting for you.  Christ died for you.  He rose again.  He IS alive.  He's waiting for you, and His arms are outstretched for you.  If you are ready to ask Jesus into your heart and receive this free gift of Salvation just pray the following prayer. "Lord Jesus ... I know that I have sinned against you ... I'm sorry for my sins ... and I ask Your forgiveness.  I receive You as my personal Savior ... and ask you to manage my life from this day forward.  Thank You Lord.  In Jesus' name.  Amen." If you have just received Jesus Christ as your own Lord and Savior, then you have become a child of God in whom Jesus Christ now lives in your heart! This is the best gift you will ever receive!

If you are already a believer, today is a great day to thank God for the gift of Salvation and tell Him how it has changed your life. Prayerfully consider who you could pass this good deal along to!
