Spreading The Sunshine

Some of these cold days I feel like I am just living for the summer. When the sun is out I find myself, bundling up and heading out to walk. Just to be in that warm sunshine. As Mike always says, it just makes you feel better!

Sometimes you have to create your own sunshine. When we allow the Son to shine into the recesses of our hearts He promises to remove the sadness and replace them with pure joy. Pure joy, the kind that comes from relationship with the Father, will also give you strength when you’re weary and comfort when you’re down. Talk about a mood lifter! / Let’s face it. Life can be harsh, grueling, depressing. But life in Christ takes us on a new outlook – gives us a fresh map that promises more for us than what the world predicts.

'You, beloved, are God’s chosen one. Chosen before the foundation of the world to show forth His praises. He’s brought you out of darkness and into His marvelous light. He’s given you a life that radiates His glory. He says no despair and no drama can drown out your light. This dreary time of your life is not your destiny, nor is it permanent."

Hebrews 1: 3, "The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven." Jesus relates to God the way radiance relates to glory, or the way the rays of sunlight relate to the sun. We see the sun by means of seeing the rays of the sun. So we see God the Father by seeing Jesus. He is Himself God the Son, “the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature.”

Soak up the Son and spread the Sonshine!
