Spiritual Amnesia

Every time I decide to worry about something I have spiritual amnesia! And it is a recurring problem! Have you forgotten what the Lord has done in your life? If every time I would stop and think about what God has done in my life I would be at peace instead of stressed over certain situations. Philippians 4: 7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." My situation may not change overnight, but the way I see it and the way I handle it will change.
I think of Ruth when she went to Bethlehem to glean the field and Boaz sees her. Biblically, he had to leave a portion of his field to be gleaned. Because Ruth had made a promise to Naomi she met Boaz. And Boaz was responsible for Naomi because she was a widow and his relative. Look at all of the moving parts in that story! How often do we think things are bad and we are giving up? 1 Peter 5: 7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
The Bible tells us judge not until the appointed time. God said all things are good. 1 Corinthians 4: 5, "Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God." We can tell God what we want but we can't tell Him how to do it or when to do it! Remember this, "if it's not good, He's not done."
