Rise And Shine

Growing up my mom would come in our room singing, "rise and shine and give God that glory, glory. Rise and shine and give God that glory, glory. Rise and shine and give God that glory, glory, children of the Lord!" It got on my nerves but what wonderful words to be reminded of as soon as we wake up.

If we are going to rise and shine I believe we have to keep growing in our relationship with God. We have to keep changing and doing more for the Kingdom of God. We should desire to know God more every day! God did not make us to sit around and do nothing. Isaiah 60: 1, "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you."

I love how Joyce Meyer says that God has His people strategically placed in every corner; in schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and we are there for a time such as this. If we are going to shine God's light we cannot sit in the dark, doing nothing. We have to choose to get up and flip a switch. Rise and shine!

"Let the Light of God's love shine through you and watch and see what the Glory can do!"
