Put On That Armor

When you watch the news, a television show or listen to others talk, you may be reminded of how dark this world is. There is a spiritual warfare all around us and we must be prepared to stand firm. Ephesians 6: 13, "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."

Ephesians 6: 14-17, "Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Have you ever noticed there is no mention of armor for the back of our body? I believe that is because we don't run from opposition. We are to keep moving forward.

Are you going through a spiritual warfare? A conflict? Romans 10: 17, "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ." Every once in a while we face conflicts that challenges our faith, so it is important that we are spiritually ready to face and overcome these challenges. God knew we would have these times and He gave us the tools to use. God isn't scratching His head wondering what He's going to do with this mess of a world. He is raising up an army to drive back the darkness and make Him known all over the earth. I am in that army!

And a little something to make you laugh! "Sis, remind yourself when you get on the scale you are wearing the full armor of God and that stuff is heavy!"
