"I'm so glad that friends don't come with price tags. I could never afford the wonderful friends I have." When I saw this quote I loved it and thought of how true it is. I have always been blessed with good friends. I truly appreciate my friends and need them!

Proverbs 27:9, "Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend

springs from their heartfelt advice." I love this - the “pleasantness of a friend.” We can't pick our coworkers or our neighbors but we can pick our friends. Jesus had friends. John 15: 15, "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." The ultimate compliment! Exodus 33: 11, "The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend." I think friendship is a big deal and a blessing from God!

We are to choose our friends carefully. Proverbs 12:26, "The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray." I believe God uses my "carefully chosen friends" to help me grow in my faith while giving me the opportunities to help them grow also! A good friendship should be open and honest with both friends being transparent. Like-minded people are drawn to each other and their attitudes rub off on each other. Who we keep company with is a big deal. Apostle Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 5: 11, "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." The friendships in my life are a priceless pleasantness! Thanks be to God!

"God has a bigger vision for our friendships than we can even begin to understand!"
