Our Royal Family

Today seems to be the perfect day to talk about the royal family! I was in high school when Princess Diana got married and I woke up early to watch it. Then I had to watch Princess Kate's wedding. So of course I decided to watch Meghan and Prince Harry's wedding today. Mom and I decided to invite friends over to watch. We had a royal breakfast complete with hats!

I guess all little girls think about fairy tales and princesses! Most of us have wanted to be a princess. And we are still wanting to watch "fairy tales". I cannot imagine the anxiety of not knowing if I am doing things the proper way. Protocol was the word this morning by the commentators! I am sure I would be butchered! Being in the limelight and having to be picture ready every time you walk outside would be horrible!

I have good news! We are part of THE royal family! You are adopted as a child of the King of the Universe. John 15:16, "You didn't choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go & produce lasting fruit..." We are his princes and princesses! 1 Peter 2:9, " But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

We were chosen by the King of Kings! He chose us before we were even born to be part of his royal family! We are very important in His kingdom. He has plans for us. In His word He teaches us what we need to know about living like a child of the King! And even if we do not go by protocol or are not proper He still loves us. He knows we will never be good enough.

1 Peter 3:3-4, "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” We move from outer to inner beauty as we reflect God's love.

We also have responsibilities in our royal family. I Timothy 2: 1,2 says, "First then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” Our actions and words must reflect who Jesus is in our lives.

You are royalty of the Most High! Straighten your crown!

You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem in the hand of your God. Isaiah 62:3

No Plan B

My husband, Mike said, "there is no plan B." He had his mind set and would see it to fruition. He quickly added, "if that is what God wants". He was saying that if this was part of God's plan then he
