No Jerking Or Jumping

When I was feeling called to start a ministry Pastor Barry told me if it is of God you will not have to jerk or jump. I knew this but never thought about it. Now I love to watch how God just brings things! Mom told me in May that she missed Chapel on Tuesday nights where she is living now. I asked God to help me get an every Tuesday night Chapel for her facility. He brought our pastor and friend, Skip, who Mom and I have served with for 25 plus years and asked him if he would be one of the four pastors. Of course! God brought two lay leaders and I asked Pastor Barry, feeling guilty because of how much he already does, and he said of course because he had a special friend there! Skip got everything organized.

I attended the second chapel service and Pastor Skip did the sermon and communion. The first week we had six and this week, 12! One of the residents plays the piano beautifully. Pastor Skip was a hit with his humor and stories! Afterwards two people talked to him and he offered to come visit and talk and they said they would like that. This evening was of God. This person would now have a pastor! Ephesians 3: 20, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us..." Always!

Afterwards a woman came up to Mom and her friend telling Mom that she knew God put them together and she believed they were all where they needed to be. Mom agreed! God was really showing off! We all need encouragement and especially at this stage of life and now they shared a bond of Christian fellowship. Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10, "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up." There was no jerking or jumping! Just smooth sailing! Thank You, God!
