May Not Be Better, But Better Off

Someone made the comment, in regards to being a Christian, "I may not be better but I am better off." When we become Christians our life does not become easy. In some ways it becomes difficult BUT the good outweighs the bad, for sure! We are better off! We do not have to handle anything alone! We are never alone! We will spend eternity in Heaven!
God told us we are going to have trials. John 16: 33, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." We should not expect an easy life but we can expect God's help. One day we will look back and thank God for the hard times that helped us grow in our faith. We are here to further God's Kingdom by spreading the Good News. When we walk with God we begin seeing Him and how He works in our lives. We begin to feel His presence and see His power.
We know with Him anything is possible. Matthew 19: 26, "Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'"
No matter what we go through God is our Helper. We can cry out to Him at any time. He will always hear us and be there to pick us up. Hebrews 4: 15-16, "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
Along with being our Helper, God is our Comforter! He is always with us so He knows what is going on. He loves us and wants to hear us tell Him that we need Him. He will never leave us. Hebrews 13: 5, "...God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'" "Although God is always close, if you don't pray, you will never manage to feel His presence."
