Joyce Meyer says we are growing when we do what's right when it feels wrong. I have to go on a choice and not a feeling. I choose to do right even when I am mistreated. They don't have to be my friend but I have to do good. I don't have to like somebody to love them through Jesus. I'm sure you can think of someone you love through Jesus. "Love your enemies."
Not only do we have to love our enemies but we have to forgive them and bless them. Ask God to bless them with revelation about their behavior and pray for them on a regular basis. The most powerful, spiritual warfare we have is to be good to our enemies. Matthew 5: 43-48, "You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
2 Chronicles 20: 6, "and said: 'Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.'" Jehoshaphat was praising God and reminding himself of God's greatness. We have to remember Who God is! 3This is why we need to know the Word of God! Recall God's mercy, grace and power in your life and in the Bible! When we remember how God has forgiven us and loves us in spite of our actions, we know we have to try to do the same.
