Someone had posted this on social media regarding the election but I think it can be used for any tough time in your life. No matter what happens,

"God will be on His throne.

Jesus will still be King of Kings and Lord of Lords

The bible will still have all the answers to every problem.

The tomb will still be empty.

Jesus wills till be the only way to Heaven.

Prayer will still work - it will still make a difference and Gill will still answer prayers.

The cross, not the government, will still be our salvation.

There will still be room at the cross.

Jesus will still save anyone who places their faith and trust in Him.

God will still be with us always - He will never leave us or forsake us."

One of my favorite verses is Romans 8: 28, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." This is His promise to us. Sometimes it is so hard to see how things can work out for our benefit when we see the situation as bad. But we cannot see the whole picture like God can! it comes back to trust! Isaiah 55: 9, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts." He see's the future. He also knows what little suffering we do on earth is miniscule compared to eternity. He does not waste our pain, our suffering, our losses, or our trials. Things will not always make sense to us.

Just because situations are out of our control does not mean they are out of God's control! I bought a card recently that read, "What ultimately matters is not the size of our mountains, but the strength of our mountain mover." Luke 18: 27, "But He said, 'The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.'” God specializes in the impossible that we call miracles. He is still doing miracles. God wants us to trust him, no matter the situation. Proverbs 33: 5, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;"

We can trust that God is in control, no matter how crazy this world is!
