"Sometimes maturing in Christ means letting people think things about you that aren't true, remaining quiet and trusting God is more than able to defend you." I read this in a devotional and it reminds me that God's way is always the best way.
In Exodus 14: 14, Moses tells the Israelites, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." The Israelites could not see a way to escape, I am sure they never expected to see the sea split! This has not changed - God is constant. He will fight for us, we need only be still. 2 Chronicles 20:17, "You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you."
As bad as you want to address it, sometimes it's best to let God defend you. He saw too! When things seem hopeless and overwhelming we may want to doubt God but there is no problem bigger than God! He has promised to take care of us. Philippians 4: 19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." If you are in a battle now or the enemy is attacking, you are not alone. Joshua 1: 5, "As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you." God fights on our behalf, protecting and shielding us, even when we don't feel it or see it. Cry out to God because He hears you. Psalm 46: 10, "Be still, and know that I am God..."
