In The Name Of Jesus

The night before ,my daughter's surgery I was very anxious. My pastor called and prayed with me knowing our anxiety. In his prayer he claimed that we were rejecting any complications in Jesus name! I cannot tell you the peace that sentence gave me.

Jesus made a promise to his disciples in John 14: 13-14, "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." Jesus declared His Oneness with His Father showing us His own divinity.

Claiming something in the name of Jesus is a powerful weapons of warfare against the enemy! And when we worship God and give Him thanks that is another weapon against the enemy. We do this BEFORE we see victory come to pass. It shows we are confident in the power of the name of Jesus. We are confident in our prayers and we can make our requests know to God "with thanksgiving." Philippians 4: 6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." This is when we experience His amazing peace!!

Maybe God is speaking to you through John 16: 24, "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." Talk to Him like you would anyone else. He knows your heart and He knows your genuineness. Go ahead and praise Him and thank Him for all He is doing. This helps build your faith and give you peace. This could be your day of victory!
