"I Am Sending You"

I have a friend that God put in my path a year and a half ago. We both feel God calling us to do specific things. We also believe He brought us together. She and I had lunch recently and we were both sharing our excitement, fears and dreams of what God is calling us to do. I share my flaws and fears with her. I know my thoughts sound crazy but she understands they are not my thoughts and that I am trying to trust God. After being with her I am pumped and I am reminded that God is a God of impossibilities. Luke 1: 37, "For with God nothing will be impossible." He can do anything - even with me!

Two days later I was at work writing when I got a text from her that said, "This mornings Bible verse is written just for you! Exodus 4: 11-12....This is how I know you could speak to the world without doubt. This is truly a God moment!..." I looked up the scripture and began to cry. How had I not seen that one before? "So the Lord said to him, 'Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.'" I printed it out and put it on my wall at work to remind me that He doesn't send us with out His help!

Of course verse 12 is what got me! "Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." The next day it was just the first part that was speaking to me. "Now go". Here is where I struggle. I want Him to give me what I need before I need it and then I will go. But He wants me to step out in faith and go. He will give me what I need, when I need it. Trust, Jill, trust! He is already equipping us for what He is calling us to do. He has already given us the passion to do what He is calling us to do.

We have all been called. "As the Father sends me, I am sending you." John 20: 19-23, "Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, 'Peace be with you.'” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, 'Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.' Jesus was sent out to be a disciple. He showed us the way.

I love verse 22, "And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.'" We have been equipped. We have the power through the Holy Spirit! Where are you being called?
