His Grace Really Is Sufficient

I was trying to find encouraging words for a friend who is going through tough times. I saw a text from a church member but could not read it til later. I was trying to encourage someone while I was feeling a little overwhelmed myself. I was carrying it all by myself.

Psalm 55: 22, “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” I do not have to do it all. No one can. God asks me to let Him carry my burdens on His shoulders, He can handle it! When I hand it over He will give me rest. His offer is there but I have to accept it. I did and read that text which was two Bible verses that spoke differently to me today. Isaiah 41: 10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Numbers 6:24-26, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” What a change of perspective! God’s grace is enough!

2 Corinthians 12:9, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” I forget my Problem Solver is bigger than my problems! He is always working in me and for me. His grace gives us the power and strength to endure and move forward.
