On Sunday, we celebrate our mothers, whether we celebrate with them or their memory. Mother's Day can be a tough day for those who never had children, lost children, lost their mother, did not have a good relationship with their mother, etc. For those of us who have our mother we give thanks and do not take it for granted. We also celebrate those women in our lives who did not give birth to us but God put them in our life to be our role models. These are women who have wisdom to share and will help make us strong Christian women! They prepare the next generation and they are a treasure!

As I think of my mother today I think of Titus 2: 3-5, "Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." Godly women teach us what is good and urges younger women to love their husbands and children. Without ever speaking a word they teach self-control, purity, kindness, selflessness, etc. Psalm 78: 4 "We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord. We will tell of His power and the mighty miracles He did."

Is there someone else you need to say, "happy mother's day" to for being a godly influence in your life? Consider your role in your family. Is there something more you can do to leave a godly influence on the earth?

Happy mother’s day to my mom and all the other mom’s! We are so grateful for you!
