Those of you who know Mom know that she is ready to go to Heaven and has been. John 3: 36, "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them." I feel sorry for her because I know she is tired of having to rehab. She tells God to take her but that isn't working out for her. After the last fall I reminded her that if she isn't going to Heaven doesn't she want to have quality life. She agreed and worked so hard to walk and get better! She worked so hard for PT today that it broke my heart! When I leave we say her prayers and they touch my heart so much!
Mom is in pain when she moves and gets confused with all that is going on, all the different people and being in another new place. During her prayer she thanks God for being with her and for being God! Psalm 100: 4, "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." She thanks Him for guiding her even when she doesn't know what is going on. She trusts Him to guide her. She thanks Him for the thoughts He put in her head that day and asks Him to help her keep those thoughts. She thanks Him for all of the blessings of the day and all of the love she has been shown. She prays for her friends who are sick and the new ones who sit at her table. By the time she finishes I can hardly speak. Psalm 23: 6, "Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." He is her Good, Good Father!
She could be very down in the dumps but she is choosing joy. She is praising God, no matter her circumstances. 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." I told her she may wonder why she is still here and one reason is because she is such an inspiration to so many and still teaching me. Titus 2: 4-5, "Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." God is not finished with her yet!
