God's Girls

Two of my college suite mates came to my Hope in Him conference and have been so supportive. I am thankful we all four keep in touch! I am proud of how we all turned out. We've come a long way! I believe God smiles down on us, saying, those are my girls! Even though we got off track, we, all, came back. And we are God's girls! 1 John 3: 1, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!"

I thought of the mistakes I made during those years and I am thankful that I do not carry that shame and guilt. I can hang out with these friends and none of us feel judged because we know we are all new creations. 2 Corinthians 5: 17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" We now discuss our faith and we can learn from each other. Proverbs 27: 17, "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend."

If you repent and turn from your sin and ask forgiveness, you are forgiven. Acts 3: 19, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord..." And with that forgiveness, God forgets! Hebrews 8: 12, "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more." I am so grateful for God's grace and mercy! I thank God for the gift of friendship and the time spent together! Proverbs 27: 9, "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul."

"God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile." Max Lucado
