God Is Good

“Prayer is not the least we can do for someone; prayer is the most we can do.” I have been praying for a friend who is going through treatment. She thanked me and I reminded her she was one of my prayer warriors and came and sat with me. I will never forget all of the people that were praying for me. Those prayers were the most precious gift they could give me. I felt them and I was so grateful for each one. I need my friends! Ecclesiastes 4: 9, "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor."

I was thinking back to the surgery Sarah had where I took a week off of writing because I was weary and burdened! It is hard for someone who writes five to seven blogs a week not to write for ten days! Let me rephrase that. It is hard for me not to "type" for ten days. I always write in my head, truly all the time. God has a way of getting us still and quiet.

When I am anxious I stay busy so I don't have to think but that does not take away the anxiety. When I have to be still, I begin to feel His peace. Philippians 4: 7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." God is so, so good to me! Through His peace and faithfulness, each bump in the road takes us to a new level. Prayers work and bring us that peace that transcends all understanding.

God has not failed me yet and He is faithful beyond belief! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve prayed and God has given me what I needed, not always what I wanted but always what I need! And often times I do not even know what I need! Deuteronomy 7:9, "Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments."

Why do I share this? Mark 5:19, "Jesus did not let him, but said, 'Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.'”

The morning of my surgery I saw my general surgeon who diagnosed me and spent once a week with me for a year. I had asked God not to let me just be a number to my doctors but let us be friends. He w

There are other times that we feel raw, tired and weary. During most of those times we put on that smile and kept doing life. We are trying to get ahead at work. Trying to get things done at home.
