Gentle, Submissive & Pretty

The snow had started and I was working on the upcoming couples retreat. I was trying to be anxious about the upcoming retreat that has pushed me, yet again, way out of my comfort zone. You can't have anxiety where gratitude is so I began thanking God for the beautiful snow. As I kept looking out of the window I thought of what the Bible says about snow.
Snow is mentioned 24 times in the Bible! Isiah 1: 18, "...Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;...: Psalm 51: 7, "Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow." Revelation 1: 14, "The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire." Daniel 7: 9, "...His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool..."
My favorite is Isaiah 55: 10-11, "As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Snowflakes don’t know where they’re going, they just go. Never a straight path. They don't know what will be in the way. They are sent by God and they surrender to Him, going wherever He sends them. They don’t argue, wrestle, question, doubt, worry or resist along the way. They bless God by being His servant and they bless others as they go about their business. They are gentle, submissive, and pretty. I want to be more like a snowflake!
Think of every Bible verse as a snowflake sent from heaven to beautify and nourish your heart.
