For Peep's Sake

I am sure Satan worked overtime Sunday! He wanted us to oversleep, give up on going to church, have to rush to church, park far away, etc. Jesus gets the Victory again! Evil does not dwell where worship is going on and worship was going on! Worship, “exceedingly abundantly above” anything that I could imagine. The Holy Spirit was in the House!

Romans 5: 8, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” 1 Peter 2: 24, “‘He himself bore our sins’ in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by his wounds you have been healed.’” We all need the hope of salvation but we also need hope and encouragement to get through this life! We had many visitors Sunday, whether out of the desire to please someone, guilt, tradition, etc. Praise God they were there and heard the Good News! They saw us celebrate one of our highest and holiest days! They were in the presence of God! And He called His people - from right where we are! Easter is a season of preparation, reflection and repentance when we realign our lives with God. Easter is not over!

We celebrate the good news that in Jesus' death and resurrection we are made new by God's love and saving grace! 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" Let's be true disciples as we share and show that we believe this is good news! Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." The good news is summed up in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Let's be passionate about this Good News! It's still Easter for peep's sake!

I was blessed to go see the movie, “Jesus Revolution”. The movie takes place in the 1970s when a lot of “hippies” went to Southern California to find truth, something new and fresh. It tells the tru

There are other times that we feel raw, tired and weary. During most of those times we put on that smile and kept doing life. We are trying to get ahead at work. Trying to get things done at home.
