"The other day I was hangin' out with a friend. This friend is a Christian but doesn't always act like one. Some days she's in line with God's Word, and some days life's struggles get the best of her. As our eyes met I really wanted to say something about it but decided to let the Lord speak to her heart knowing nothing I could say would have the same impact as her Father's Words. So I prayed with her. And after some time passed, I winked at her...and walked away from the mirror."
I just learned the word, "flawsome". The definition is "an individual who embraces their flaws and knows their awesome regardless." Because of God's grace, we can be flawsome! No matter how much I mess up, God can still use me! He has filled my life with purpose and joy. I love Him more than ever and I still mess up but despite my mess ups He still loves me. He has never and will never leave me. Deuteronomy 31: 8, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Flaws and mess ups are part of being human. I can see how God brought good from my mess ups as I grew in Him. Romans 8: 28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." A humble person does not look down on others or think they are better than someone else. The Bible says we are to live without ego and pride. When we see that we are far from perfect it is easier to for us to live by the Spirit. Galatians 5: 22-26, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other." Be flawsome!
