Mike and I always dread winter approaching and night coming so early. Many people who work indoors start work in the dark and finish in the dark. Some people experience a type of depression that comes and goes with the seasons. We need LIGHT! This world is too dark and broken to live without Light!
The Israelites stood with their backs to the wilderness getting ready to trade manna for milk and honey. Moses told them in Deuteronomy 8: 3, "He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord." While they were in the wilderness, God took away their bread, teaching them that life comes from God's Words. And that is better than anything including bread, milk or honey. Psalm 19: 10, "They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb."
Jesus said in John 8: 12, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” His Word will brighten our life! Psalm 119: 105, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that." Martin Luther King Jr.
