After surgery, Mike said, "I never understood what people meant when they said they felt people's prayers but now I do." God was already bringing good from our hard times.

1 Thessalonians 5:18, "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." This builds faith because, in the future, when people tell Mike they are praying for him, he will remember the peace, comfort, joy and assurance knowing they talked to God on his behalf! You never forget those who stood by you and prayed during your time of need!

When you feel the prayers of others you have an assurance that you didn't get where you are on your own. It was a group effort of prayer warriors. It is also very humbling to be asked to pray for someone in their time of need. When we pray for others we build our faith as we see the power of prayer. When someone requests our prayers, God is at work in their lives. When we pray for them we are joining God's team to bring healing, renewal, reconciliation and change to their life and the lives of others.

“You are never more like Jesus than when you pray for others.” Max Lucado
