Fearfully And Wonderfully Made

My spiritual life really changed when I became pregnant with my first child. Seeing how my body was made to be able to conceive, carry a child, give birth and nurse a child was all very amazing to me. I went to church and Sunday school and went through all the motions prior to that but I really did not respond to God until my pregnancy. To see how my body was made, drew me closer to God.

Psalm 139: 13, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb."

Psalm 139: 13, "How He "knit [you] together" during those nine months. Psalm 139: 14, "How remarkably He made you into the person you are." Psalm 139: 15, "How He shaped your bones in your prenatal state." Psalm 139: 15, "How skillfully and well He superintended your formation." Psalm 139: 16, "How He personally determined the days of your life."

Psalm 139: 16, "Your eyes saw my unformed body;"

And one of my favorite parts is the rest of verse 16. "...all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." That always blows my mind. God knew you before anyone even knew there was a you. And He knew that I would be writing this blog today and that you would be reading it. Are we special or what?

Have we acknowledged and thanked God for this wonder? For us, for our children, our grandchildren, etc? We are His beloved!
