The most hurtful, tough times of my past are the parts that God uses the most in my ministry. As I was preparing to speak at a women's conference, I felt led to share this painful part and then took it out. This happened about three times before I prayed about it. Clearly, God wanted me to leave it in there. since I was using notes only I asked God to take it from my eyes if I was not to share. I shared these two sentences in the middle of my talk. A lady came up, immediately, to ask how I forgave and she was followed by others. God knew!

"You have been assigned this mountain to show others it can be moved." I don't believe God caused this circumstance, it was people's free will that caused it but God used it for good. Romans 8: 28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Seeing God work helped me even more!

Remember the woman at the well who had the encounter with Jesus? John 4: 28-29, "Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 'Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?'” Go down to verse 39, "Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, 'He told me everything I ever did.'" You may not feel confident to quote Scripture but you can be confident in what you feel and in what God has done in your life!
