I heard a pastor briefly share Jeremiah 29: 11-13, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” She said most of us know this passage but do not always look at the next two verses. “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” The promise is that when we call on God, with our whole heart, He will rescue and restore us. When we come to Him in prayer, He will listen, we will find Him and He will bring us away from our lifestyle of sin. As Christians, we already know Jesus is our Savior and He died for us. We are promised a much deeper knowledge and a closer communion with Him, if we will dive into His Word, learning His Truths and steadily look for Him in all we do.
As believers in Christ, we have an amazing privilege; our Heavenly Father invites us to talk to Him! We should use and enjoy this privilege. When we read God’s Word and talk to Him in the morning it aligns our hearts with His and makes for a better day! It also reminds us to talk to Him throughout the day! May we never forget God wants a relationship with us. May we never stop seeking God’s face and may we always long for His presence!
“When we’re in communion with God we can never be miserable.” Lady Maxwell
