Bring It ALL

A friend lost her 39 year old horse who had been there during tough times through the years. Another friend lost their dog the same day. I always pray for people and their pets. Scripture tells us to pray about all things. That means bring it all, everything! There are no exclusions and no limits. Ephesians 6: 18, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people." We are to pray on all occasions. Nothing is insignificant!

We can pray about anything and everything. Philippians 4: 6-7, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." I believe God wants to hear all the details of our life and wants to help with them. We know where our help comes from. Psalm 121: 1-2, "....where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." If we are having anxiety about something we should go to Him - no matter how little or big. 1 Peter 5: 7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

If we have anxiety in our hearts, we are not living in peace. Through bringing it all to Him, God gives us peace that only He can give. Philippians 4: 7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Pray about anything and everything and know God's peace. As you do this you will build faith and trust and grow in your relationship with God. And did you know that you can not have anxiety while giving thanks?!
