Birthday Wishes

I remember hearing people say that God has more important things to do than my prayer concerns. I am sure He does but our God is big enough to handle them all! We are so important to Him and He wants to hear from us...every day! He wants to hear what our dreams are. When our dreams align with what He wants for us I believe He will make things happen. Psalm 37: 4, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

The Bible says to pray about everything! Philippians 4: 6-7, "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." We are to come to Him about a wayward child, healing, a new job, a new friend, a burden and everything else. I even ask God when I pull into a store, "God, help me to be a wise steward of my money." If I have to take my mom somewhere and the weather is bad I ask Him to make an easy way for us and He does. If my dog is sick, I pray for him! It says to pray about everything! Every little thing!

Remember as a child how you had a boldness to ask for anything on your birthday? I believe God wants us to ask Him for things with the faith of a child. John 14: 13-14, "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." James 4: 3, "When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." If we don't have something, maybe we have not asked. What we ask for must be about us realigning our life and our priorities to be in accord with God's will. James 4: 2, "...You do not have because you do not ask God." I asked God to bring me the right ministry (desire of my heart) at the right time and I thank Him everyday for what He is doing. I can't wait to open that gift!
