Be Still 1/5 of blogs

This week I am working on my spiritual health which begins with me being still. God reminded me I need to be still. Sometimes that stings - the realization that I forget He is GOD! I know He is God but I do forget that He is GOD! The One who created the universe and nothing is impossible for Him! This week I will work on knowing, trusting and believing that God IS GOD! By Friday I believe He will have refreshed my soul! Thankfully, last November, God chose my family's vacation date for this week. I will have seven days at a beach in which I intend to soak up the Son!

Psalm 46: 10, "Be still and know that I am God." Not much to have to pick apart in this verse but it is screaming at me. BE STILL! I am too busy. When I am still I can take the time to think about how God has worked in my life. I am reminded of His faithfulness beyond belief! It gets my mind off the clutter of what all I have to do. It clears my head to hear His voice!

The definition of still is "deep silence and calm; stillness." This means we are to let the other worries go and be silent and calm. Concentrate on God. Be still–because only then can we hear God’s voice. During tough times, God does not tell us to be strong but to be still! When we are still then we can become strong! The prophet Isaiah said in 30: 15, "This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: 'In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.'" If we fight, God can't fight. Be still and He can fight for us. Even Jesus took time to be quiet and still!
